A WorkCover Accredited Certificate will be issued after the successful completion of the course.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be able to:
- Describe the general provisions of the NSW OHS Act
- Describe the duties of employers and employees and the main enforcement provisions of the Act
- Describe the forms and processes of OHS communication and consultation in the workplace
- Describe the principles of risk management in OHS
- Describe the processes involved with dealing with emergencies, site evacuation and first aid for construction work in the context of OHS
- Describe the main provisions of workplace injury management, workers compensation and rehabilitation legislation and systems in NSW
